Acura TSX reviews- Shocking Truth about Acura TSX

The Acura TSX is one of the newer products from the luxury line from Honda. An entry-level sedan that’s priced to be affordable, the Acura TSX boasts a sporty design and provides sufficient cabin space. With a solid build and a luxurious interior, the TSX offers a comfortable drive, and provides an array of features, most of which are standard with Acura. It’s built for the market of consumers who desire a less pricey luxury sedan that has more to offer, both in terms of reliability and performance.
The first generation of the Acura was well received, owing to its sporty characteristics. Its disappointment was with the smallish back seat and driving rigidity. These have thus far been corrected with the newer model, which offers greater interior room. Some of the sportiness was however lost in the upgrade. Perhaps to overcome the weakness, a V6 powered model was introduced. It’s a bit pricier but sportier in handling. Regardless, it’s not the most popular TSC as most customers prefer the 4-cylinder TSX which doesn’t perform as greatly, but is considerably cheaper.
How is the Present Generation TSX? What are the features that make the current TSX a hit in the market?
The present generation TSX comes with added features and improved technology. Some of the standard features, which will help you to enjoy safety, comfort and experience luxury, by the Acura TSX are:

  • Bluetooth, 7-speaker audio system with CD player and iPod support
  • Satellite radio
  • Sunroof
  • Heated power front seat
  • Plush leather interior
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Xenon headlights
  • 17” alloy wheels

There is an optional Technology package which gives you a navigation unit, 10 speaker surround with 6-CD changer built into the dash and a rearview camera. ABS brakes, front and side curtain airbags and stability control are included as standard.
How is the Performance of Acura TSX?
The TSX is available in either a 2.4l, 4-cylinder engine with 201hp and 172lb-ft, or a 3.5 V6 with 280hp and 254 pound-feet of torque. Available transmission options include a 6-speed manual available with the 4 cylinder model, or a 5-speed auto. The 2.4l 4-cylinder version performs well, but is belittled when compared to the 6-cylinder, or even turbo-charged 4-cylinder engines which are popular in other entry-level sedans such as this one. However, its weaknesses are more than made up for in the V6 model, which has greater thrust.

Acura Wagon Review – the luxury piece from Acura

The addition of a Sport wagon to Acura’s extensive luxury range makes sense. It has come at a time when concerns about fuel economy and carbon footprints on the environment are ever growing. The Acura Wagon is ideally placed to show that luxury has lesser to do with the size of the car and more to do with the experience it gives.
The Acura Wagon leaves no stone unturned. Combining the reputed features of Acura such as grade logic, shift control and an electronic throttle control system, the TSX brings performance and reliability to this class of vehicles. Other outstanding features include ABS with break assist, EBD and a power steering that’s torque sensing. All of these features assure safety while you drive.
The Sport Wagon is a logical extension of Acura’s range, given the fact it has already converted the European Accord for the TSX model. With concerns about fuel economy and the environment growing—particularly among the target audience for this car—Acura’s timing may be good. Luxury is now more about the experience than the size of the vehicle.

The Acura Wagon shares the same wheelbase specifications as the TSX, with a measurement of 106.4-inch though its 3.6 inches longer. Its greater rigidity is attributed to the tied front shock towers. Attachment points in the rear subframe are reinforced as well.
Being a wagon by any definition, the Acura TSX wagon has sufficient cargo space, with 61 cubic feet of volume being availed. By comparison, the Acura has more to offer than BMW 3-Series wagons as well as those based on the Audi A4. The back compartment offers more storage below the floor, which is flattened out for convenience.
Considering the European inspiration, the Acura wagon offers more pedestrian-safety features, which are necessary for compliance with EU regulations. It boasts a head-restraint system, 6 airbags in total and vehicle stability assist system. In addition to this, the 2011 wagon includes upgraded styling features, such as the new grille/bumper design, new fog and taillights, as well as a refreshed garnish at the rear.
Other features of the Acura Wagon are:

  • Weather reporting in real time
  • Real-time Doppler map overlay
  • Bluetooth
  • 7 speakers (360w) CD player and a USB interface, with the ELS system offering 10 (460w) instead of 7, as well as support for up to 6 iPods.

So, enjoy a nice drive and experience luxury with your Acura Wagon.

The RDX is an all-wheel drive, much like the MDX, RL and TL sedans. Built to be a performer, the RDX goes from 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds, which is the faster than most in its class.
What are the Safety Features of Acura RDX 2009?
The luxury SUV has a couple of luxury features included, which range from ABS with brake assist to front-seat side and side curtain airbag. Stability and traction control features are included as well. So, you are assured of high safety while driving the Acura RDX 2009.
What are the Unique Features of Acura RDX 2009?

There’s a compartment included between the two front seats, sufficient to hold a briefcase. There’s use of plastic in the RDX, which is surprising for an Acura, but it does not distract or disvalue the crossover.
The biggest downfall of the RDX is its limited room. Even when the rear seats are folded, only 61 cubic feet is availed. It’s more than a sedan can offer, but lesser when compared to other crossovers in its class. The rear-seats are fixed, so the lack of a recliner is regretted.

Acura CSX – help Acura to make its name in the luxury car market

The Acura CSX is an entry-level luxury car designed and built for Canada. It is assembled in the country actually, with the assembly plant being located in Alliston, Ontario. It has been made for the Japanese market as well, but it goes by Honda Civic. The Acura CSX succeeds two previous models- the EL and the Integra Sedan.
The model made its way into the market initially in the final quarter of 2005, and over the years, it has been upgraded. The most notable difference is the beak-like grille, which was added in 2009.
Acura CSX – from its old model to the present model
The initial CSX came with a 2.0l iVTEC engine with an output of 155hp. It was the only engine capacity offered at the time. That is until 2007 when Acura introduced a sportier model, with a 2.4l engine capable of 197hp. This Type-S model ceased production in 2010. As of now, only the 155hp 2.0l version is available.
What are the features of the Acura CSX?
The CSX maintains all the typical features expected of an Acura- from the front seats which are heated, the leather upholstery, AC unit, stability control system, audio controls mounted on the steering, as well as a tire-pressure monitor.
Other additions include a better stereo system, voice-guided navigation system and XM satellite radio.
One of the more easily appreciated features of the CSX are its unique design which tops its class, its unbelievable fuel economy, the comfortable drive it offers, and trunk space which equates to about 341l.
Are there any shortcomings of the Acura CSX?
The biggest one is the road noise it produces. It’s been a constant problem with Acura/ Honda models. While the drivetrain maintains unnoticeable levels of noise, when out on a drive, the noise is quite obvious. It is felt around the body seams and on parts of the floor. It makes an otherwise comfortable drive into a partly noisy one.
The second shortcoming of the CSX is the modest head room offered. It is inconsiderate of the tall people. The flaw is in the design of the windscreen which has a steep angle, which consequently compromises the amount of available room.
The final one is the retail price. While the $24, 290 is reasonable for a car of its class, it’s got much less to offer than say, the Civic EX-L which is much cheaper in comparison.
